Kalen DeBoer made an uncomfortable decision in having some offensive assistant coaches go, but he stepped up by getting guys that may be upgrades.
The third-year head coach for Alabama football addressed reporters in his first media availability after Tuesday’s practice. One of the first things he discussed was how he felt about the Crimson Tide’s three new assistant coaches on offense. Alabama hired Derrick Nix, Richard Owens, Adrian Klemm.
Nix, a former Auburn assistant, coached wide receivers. Owens takes over as tight ends coach, replacing Bryan Ellis — who got promoted to quarterbacks coach after Nick Sheridan left to Michigan State.
