A three-run first inning aided Eastern Illinois (10-8) as it completed a two-game sweep at the Torii Hunter Complex in Pine Bluff.
Tyler Castro went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored for the Panthers, who combined to notch seven of their 13 runs over the first two innings. Eastern Illinois also banged out 11 hits, with Chris Worcester and James Love finishing with three hits apiece. Worcester had a home run as well.
Nick Hockemeyer went 3 for 4, and Zyon Hamilton was 2 for 2 for UAPB (8-14), which trailed 10-0 before scoring a pair of runs in the seventh inning.
