FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas rose three spots to No. 8 in the ESPN/USA Softball poll released Tuesday.
The Razorbacks (8-1) won all four games they played over the weekend at the States Up Invitational in San Marcos, Texas, in run-rule fashion. They defeated Wichita State (10-2), Clemson (12-0), BYU (11-1) and Texas State (9-0).
Arkansas is scheduled to play six games this weekend at its home-opening Razorback Invitational at Bogle Park.
The Razorbacks open the event with a Friday doubleheader against Southeast Missouri State (1:30 p.m.) and Northwestern (4 p.m.). They play those teams twice each day through Sunday.
