FAYETTEVILLE — Reagan Johnson takes it personally when a softball hits the turf in the outfield.
The senior four-year starter believes any ball hit in the air is hers to catch, which is why Arkansas softball coach Courtney Deifel calls Johnson the best center fielder in the country.
In her more than 160 career starts in a Razorbacks uniform, not many softballs have landed fair with Johnson patrolling center field. Johnson arrived at Arkansas from Karnes City (Texas) High School in the fall of 2022 as not just a decorated softball player, but also a record-setting and state champion hurdler.
