The Orioles are in agreement with veteran starter Chris Bassitt on a one-year, $18.5MM contract, reports Jeff Passan of ESPN. The deal is still pending a physical. Bassitt, a client of Meister Sports Management, receives a $3MM signing bonus and would unlock another $500K in bonuses if he reaches 27 starts. Baltimore has an opening on the 40-man roster after losing infielder Bryan Ramos on waivers to St. Louis.
