Jameson Taillon will have a chance to lower his 21.60 spring ERA as he makes his second start, this time against the Rockies. Not that his ERA should actually concern anyone, mind you. The most important thing is that he’s able to stretch out to around 40 pitches or so with no health concerns. Beyond that, he could give up 12 runs by throwing nothing but piped fastballs.
The lineup behind him has the most regulars to date, with several making their 2026 Cactus League debuts. Nico Hoerner leads off at second in his first action, Alex Bregman is at third, then it’s Ian Happ in left for the first time and Dansby Swanson getting his first reps at short.
