Moritz Seider's defensive play alone is heating up Norris Trophy debate

Once the NHL returns from the Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, it will be the final stretch of the regular season. There's the March 6 trade deadline, and teams in the playoff hunt seeking to clinch one of the 16 spots to compete for the Stanley Cup in April.

In the remaining 20-plus games for each team, players have a chance to make their case to win individual awards. The Norris Trophy is awarded to the best defenseman with all-around ability in each season. Since the start of the campaign, Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche has been the favorite to win the award.
