DES MOINES, Iowa – Bulldog women's tennis returned to action on Friday with a home contest versus SIUE. Drake was able to inch out front early, but the Cougars controlled singles play to secure the 4-3 result.
Drake collected the first point of the match as doubles teams Maja Dodik/Jordane Dookie (No. 2) and Shiori Takeda/Kristina Tai (No. 1) won a pair of convincing matches by scores of 6-2 and 6-4, respectively.
The Bulldogs also earned the initial singles tally as SIUE's Margaux Guibal Britt was forced to retire, giving Dodik the No.
