The 2025-26 NHL season has been rough for the Edmonton Oilers, who have had plenty of ups and downs throughout the regular season, so far. They currently sit firmly in third place inside the weak Pacific Division but if they were part of any other division within the league, they would be barely hanging onto a wildcard position in the West.
There have been stretches this year where the Oilers have been out of a playoff spot and many more where they are not playing like a team that deserves a playoff berth.
