Hull City manager Sergej Jakirovic said watching Kyle Joseph finish for Hull's opening goal was like watching Lionel Messi in action.
But the Tigers boss may now have to do without the midfielder this week after he limped off at St Mary's with an ankle injury.
Joseph's classy strike, likened jokingly to Messi by his boss, helped set the Tigers on their way to a 2-1 win over Southampton at St Mary's but the 24-year-old could be a doubt for Tuesday's trip to Preston.
"It is a kick [on his ankle] so we will see.
