Kentucky keeps on rising in ESPN's latest Bracketology

Injuries continue to test this Kentucky men’s basketball team, but the wins keep piling up.

In Joe Lunardi’s Friday morning Bracketology update over on ESPN, the Wildcats have moved up another seed line, this time checking in as a projected 7-seed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament. It was less than two weeks ago that Kentucky was considered one of the “Last Four Byes” teams, but since then, Mark Pope‘s crew has rattled off four straight SEC victories — the longest conference winning streak of his tenure at UK.

By moving from a 10-seed to a 7-seed in these projections in a matter of weeks, Kentucky now appears to be firmly on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bubble.
