Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Gavin Stone made his way back to the mound after missing more than a year on the injured list, but a setback has him missing Opening Day.
Stone had a gruesome shoulder surgery, which involved a total reconstruction, essentially. As a result, he ended up missing the entire 2025 season, along with part of the 2024 season, simply recovering from alilment.
The righty was ready at the start of spring camp to get going on the mound once again, taking part in bullpen sessions and throwing the ball with a careful ramp-up plan.
