The NFL rumors surrounding new LSU offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. just won't go away. First, Weis' name was rumored to be involved in the New York Giants' coaching search. Weis said he wasn't interested and that he was fired up to join Kiffin's staff at LSU.
In early January, Weis told On3's Chris Low that he didn't have interest in any NFL job at this point in time. However, earlier this week it was reported that Weis spoke to the Philadelphia Eagles about their offensive coordinator opening. Despite engaging in those conversations, Weis told the Eagles he would remain with LSU in 2026.
