A showdown between two champions and familiar rivals headlines the Professional Fighters League’s trip to Madrid this Friday. Reigning PFL middleweight champion Costello van Steenis hopes to bring his countrymen to their feet when he defends his title against 2025 PFL middleweight tournament champion Fabian Edwards at the Vistalegre Arena Palace.
It’s been nearly six years since van Steenis and Edwards shared the cage, and the rematch is brewing up to be an even stronger matchup. The decision may have been split before, but van Steenis and Edwards will now have five rounds to determine who is the better combatant.
