In their first transaction on trade deadline day, the Philadelphia Flyers sent winger Bobby Brink to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for right-shot defenseman David Jiricek. The Flyers will be Jiricek's third team since being drafted sixth overall in 2022 by the Columbus Blue Jackets, who traded him to the Wild last year for Daemon Hunt and four draft picks, including a first-round selection. Now, he's bound for the AHL to join the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Jiricek's Professional Career to Date
The start of Jiricek's professional career has been a bumpy one. He played a few games for the Blue Jackets in the 2022-23 season, but spent most of his time with their AHL affiliate, the Cleveland Monsters.
