Blizzard Entertainment has released its first look at the upcoming Overwatch 2 developer livestream for the Blizzard Showcase event.
In a 30-second trailer posted on social media, the upcoming showcase has noticeably omitted the ‘2’ from its title, advertising it as the ‘Overwatch Spotlight.’
It’s a small yet crucial difference compared to its previous showcase in 2025, which was called the ‘Overwatch 2 Spotlight.’ The ‘2’ has always been a prominent part of the game’s identity ever since the sequel first launched, yet is absent in the promotional posts for the Blizzard Showcase.
