CLEVELAND — Toledo athletic director Bryan Blair is expected to take the same role at Syracuse, sources confirmed to The Blade.
Blair arrived at Toledo in 2022 and quickly built a reputation as an energetic fund-raiser with big ambitions for the athletic department, often talking of pushing the Rockets from good to great.
The full measure of his impact will play out in the coming years — his two most prominent hires, football head coach Mike Jacobs and women’s basketball coach Ginny Boggess, are too new in their jobs — but he aggressively sought to create new revenue streams to fund a name, image, and likeness and revenue-sharing operation ahead the times in the Mid-American Conference.
