HARRISONBURG, Va. — The University of Toledo men’s basketball team had two last-second opportunities but came up empty on both as the Rockets fell to James Madison 73-71 in the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge on Saturday.

LeRoy Blyden, Jr., missed a potential go-ahead short jumper with less than two seconds to go, and after the Dukes made one of two free throws, Toledo’s full-court, desperation heave was unsuccessful to end the game.

The game was tightly contested throughout, with neither side ever leading by more than nine points.

Blyden led Toledo with 24 points while Sonny Wilson scored 20 and Austin Parks chipped in with 11.
