It was no secret that Scott Frost’s highly anticipated return to UCF last season came with its own set of challenges.
It had been several years since Frost had last been a college coach, and even longer since he had last set foot on the Orlando campus.
Situations such as the transfer portal, name, image and likeness (NIL), and revenue sharing were relatively new concepts when Frost last coached a college game in 2022.
Either way, it presented its own set of challenges for Frost, including the addition of 70 newcomers. In the end, the team finished with a 5-7 record, missing out on a postseason bowl berth for the second consecutive season.
