The Washington Capitals came into tonight’s game looking to string together their first consecutive wins since their six-game winning streak back in November-December. Coincidentally, the final game in that run was their 7-1 win over the San Jose Sharks during their annual California road swing.
Plus: Ryan Leonard scored an absolute beauty of a goal in the third period to bring the Caps back within one. To the delight of fans everywhere, he made Ryan Reaves look totally foolish as he danced around him before sniping his shot past San Jose netminder Alex Nedeljkovic.
