KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Sophomore goaltender Hampton Slukynsky was named the NCHC Three Stars Award winner, the league announced this afternoon.
The Warroad, Minn. native picked up the award after earning 28 'three stars' points this season. He was the First Star of the Game four times, which was the most of any player in the league. Slukynsky is the first Bronco to win the award since Ben Blacker in 2016-17.
He edged out Miami's David Deputy for the award, as the two were the only finalists for the honor. However, William Whitelaw (WMU), Max Plante (Minnesota Duluth), Ben Strinden (North Dakota) and Will Zellers (UND) were all tied for third in points.
